Operations Coordinator Intern
Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Operations Coordinator intern to join our Oxnard team to resolve work order delays and assist the department with improved schedule adherence.

Responsibilities:
- Logistics & Coordination:
Coordinate the movement of materials between departments to maintain schedules. - Internal Workflow Coordination:
Ensure the seamless movement of products and materials between internal departments, including manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, and the internal shipping preparation area. - Production Tracking and Monitoring.
- Scheduling and Planning Support:
Collaborate closely with the planning and production teams to distribute production schedules, monitor progress against plans, and communicate potential internal delays to the relevant department supervisors. - Internal Problem-Solving and Escalation:
Identify and quickly flag production bottlenecks or workflow problems within the facility. Escalate critical path issues to production management for resolution. - Documentation and Data Entry:
Maintain accurate internal records of all work orders, WIP movement, and inventory counts using the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or Excel downloads. Ensure data integrity for internal reporting.
Required
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, supply or operations management, industrial engineering, or a related degree program
- A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
- Strong data entry and documentation management abilities
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and significant experience with ERP or internal inventory management software
- Strong analytical and internal problem-solving skills focused on process flow
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks efficiently, and work effectively in a busy, internal team environment

Preferred
Qualifications:
- Technical familiarity with microwave solutions, including amplifiers, filters, circulators, equalizers, and mixers
- One or more years of experience in a fast-paced internal manufacturing, logistics, or production support role is typically necessary
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
