As our Litigation Assistant, you will:
Litigation Management:
Take charge of the litigation side of the practice, acting as a pivotal manager to ensure seamless operations.
Draft Pleadings:
Exhibit exceptional legal writing skills to prepare pleadings with precision and attention to detail.
Answer Discovery:
Navigate the intricacies of discovery, ensuring thorough and accurate responses.
Client Communication:
Engage with clients, discussing and clarifying details regarding their cases with empathy and professionalism.
Calendar Management:
Skillfully handle calendaring of deadlines to ensure the timely progression of cases.
Estate-Planning Assistance:
Assist in managing overflow work on the estate-planning side, contributing to the holistic functioning of our practice.
Competencies/Skills:
We are looking for candidates with:
Strong legal writing skills, demonstrating expertise in drafting pleadings and responses.
Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail - we want you to be a wiz at those little details in any work product of the firm Excellent legal research skills.
Knowledge in Westlaw and Clio.
Strong organizational skills, particularly in calendaring and managing litigation processes.
Effective client communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
