Our accounting department is currently expanding as we work toward transitioning to GAAP compliance.
This position is ideal for those who have recently entered the accounting field or are in the early stages of their career.
As an accounting clerk, you will support the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments as follows:
Perform accounts receivable duties, including cash receipts and bank deposit preparation.
Support accounts payable activities such as vendor invoice processing, payment, and reconciliation.
Assist with month-end closing procedures including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Experience:
Previous experience in accounting preferred, but not required.
Strong math skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn accounting software.
Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Knowledge of basic financial concepts and principles (GAAP) preferred but not required.
